Due to COVID - 19 many children were learning via Zoom, but in 2021 many counties diverted back to in person learning. H.O.P.E. Family Resource Center provided over 400 bookbags and school supplies to Cobb County families.
What was thought to be a temporary assignment quickly turned into a two-year operation as multiple strands of COVID - 19 continued to evolve and spread through the country. Families was able to receive a box of non-perishable food as well as fresh produce.
H.O.P.E. Family Resource Center spend months, weeks and days preparing for the biggest food event for the organization. Preparation takes a team of volunteers. The food is prepared in boxes with enough food to feed a family of six. The boxes are distributed to many families to make sure everyone have a meal.
It's been over 10 years H.O.P.E Family Resource Center have given toys to children to make sure every child has something for Christmas. Volunteers and donors collect additional toys to spread more joy to every child.
